My homepage for years now has been the CNN website. I like to read the news and I haven’t noticed any bias so far. But today they have allowed James Dobson, president of the Focus on the "Family" group to write an article about the failed marriage amendment.
I can’t stand Dobson–he is nothing but a low-life that makes his living off of making other people miserable. I think it is very telling to note that the guy who helped found the Focus on the Family group left and has distanced himself from Dobson and the group because of the tactics they are taking against gays and lesbians. Here is a bit of "wisdom" from this idiot:
"If the battle to protect marriage takes even five more years, liberal judges and activists will have destroyed this 5,000-year-old institution, which was designed by the Creator, Himself. Even now, they are close to achieving that coveted objective."
Notice the catch words–liberal judges, liberal activists, 5,000 year old institution. What? Let’s see, 5,000 years minus 2006 gives us around the year 3,000 BC. So is that when marriage started? I can’t think of anything specific in history for that date. Dobson probably thinks the earth was created 5,000 years ago with Adam and Eve. How nice to be a fundamentalist and not have to think about things like science…
And of course, Dobson doesn’t say that women used to be property and that marriage was just an exchange of one item for another. She was a slave. But that is what his creator created, so it is good enough for him. Why would CNN allow such an idiot a voice?
And another thing–notice that Dobson never tells us why gay marriage would hurt straight marriage–he doesn’t because there is no connection. CNN has a button to push to fill out comments about articles. Here is mine:
I can’t believe that CNN is allowing Dobson to write an article. Dobson is full of hate not only for non-Christians but also for gays and lesbians. He, like other fundamentalists, cannot state why gay marriage would hurt straight marriage–and the reason is that there is no connection. Dobson is rich from trodding on the backs of other people he hates–and shame on CNN for allowing him to state his horrible views. Would CNN allow someone from the KKK to write about black people? Unlikely. For years I have had my browser set to CNN, but I am going to change this in protest.
