Removal of a damaging post

A couple of days ago I blogged about ex-gays and a superiority complex.  Joe Brummer had asked this blogger to remove his post about his claims about ‘bug-chasing.’  I didn’t ask him to take it down, but did take him to task for his overstating this problem.  I see that he took his post off his blog.   For that I am glad.  I would have rather seen him just admit what he did was wrong and correct it, but taking it down was a good step.  As I told Mark at Chesterstreet, I think everyone should have an opinion, but that doesn’t mean I have to keep quiet about their opinion when I see problems, especially when these problems are so exaggerated that it causes damage to whole communities.
