Stacy Harp and the Pride Parade in Israel

Stacy Harp, much to her own disgust, is reporting that there will be a Gay Pride parade in Jerusalem.  She states:

Apparently 7,000 police officers are expected to secure the parade, which will take place on King David Street between Independence Park and Liberty Bell Park. And I can assure you that if King David were alive today, he would be one unhappy camper. This truly is a sad day for Israel and the world.

Methinks that Stacy Harp, instead of bemoaning the gay and lesbian movement, should spend a bit more time reading her Bible.  It appears that King David would probably be celebrating as well–since his relationship with Jonathan is well known (except to Stacy):

See 1 Sam 18:1 and 2 Sam 1:25-26:

1 Sam 18:1 When David had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was bound to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.18:2 Saul took him that day and would not let him return to his father’s house.18:3 Then Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul.18:4 Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that he was wearing, and gave it to David, and his armor, and even his sword and his bow and his belt.

2 Sam 1:25 How the mighty have fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan lies slain upon your high places.1:26 I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; greatly beloved were you to me; your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

It should be noted that in 2 Sam. 2:2 that David said this while he was traveling with his two wives…
