Apparently the U.S. Senate is going to have a Hindu priest open the Senate with a prayer. And boy is the AFA upset about it. Luckily they at least recognize that religion is protected under the Constitution, even a religion that these people disagree with. However, that doesn’t stop them have having their troops call the Senate and complain. And as you can read, they have found a Christian historian who claims that Hinduism has not produced ‘great things in the world’, as if Christianity has. Here is what this historian has to say:
"This is not a religion that has produced great things in the world," he observes. "You look at India, you look at Nepal — there’s persecution going in both of those countries that is gendered by the religious belief that is present there, and Hindu dominates in both of those countries."
Has this Barton ever looked at Christian history, even modern history in terms of persecution? How about the Catholics and the Protestants in Ireland? Give me a break. He can’t be taken seriously.
Praise the numerous Hindu Gods, and Praise Buddha, praise the wind and the Sun in the Senate, if you ask me…
p.s. And as usual, Don Wildmon uses the opportunity to beg for money. Just remember that the ‘us’ in his little begging is his family.
