Back from Up North

On Monday my parents and I went up to the upper part of lower Michigan.  They bought three acres a couple of years ago and have moved a camper up while they build a pole barn that will be converted into a cabin.  We had a nice time.  The weather was nice until last night, when a line of thunderstorms came through.  About 9pm lightning hit a transformer on the property next door to my parents and the electricity went out.  Needless to say it was pretty dark!  My mom also saw a large dead tree fall over in the storm.  The electricity came back on around 1am.

It is really nice up there.  Yesterday we also drove to Alpena and then up to Roger’s City.  We had a nice lunch and then went back and had a bbq for dinner.

Now we are back.  I might be going to Ann Arbor this weekend and then next week off to see my grandmother and my aunt.  It should be a good trip.
