Ken Hutcherson and the Democratic Party

I see that Ken Hutcherson, the virulent anti-gay ‘pastor,’ the mastermind genius who thought he could manipulate Microsoft by getting his minions to buy their stock and then sell it all in one day, and the man who was asked to give a speech on Martin Luther King Jr. (of all people!), is now asking the Democratic National Committee to demand its money back from the Gay and Lesbian Taskforce (seen at Americans for truth about homosexuality).  Now I find this absolutely hilarious and I hope that the DNC files this in it the garbage where it belongs.  That is like me telling the Republican National Committee to give back money for whatever reason–I am not a Republican.  And neither is Hutcherson a democrat.  The DNC gave some money to the Taskforce and then it gave out some money to a man who was the Leather Leadership Award.  Here is what the genius Hutcherson has to say:

“This is Dr. Kenneth Hutcherson responding to a donation made by the Democratic National Committee to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.  I first heard from my good friend and fellow conservative, Rush Limbaugh that this had taken place. This has been confirmed by Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth.  These are two sources that I trust and believe.

“The DNC gave at least $2,500 to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force so they could award Guy Baldwin, an advocate of sadomasochism and “consensual slavery.”

“As an African American leader and Pastor, I insist the DNC demand its money back.  How can the DNC say they stand for African Americans and at the same time support a perversion that belittles and makes a mockery of our suffering under slavery?

“We must make sure we stand against all forms of tyranny and call out anyone who supports this agenda.”

Dr. Kenneth L. Hutcherson

Senior Pastor

Antioch Bible Church

Ken Hutcherson (who is NOT a Dr–he has an ‘honorary’ dr from a seminary in Portland–sorry, if he doesn’t earn it, then he isn’t a dr.) believes Rush Limbaugh and Peter LaBarbera (now some people do deserve an honorary degree for what they have actually done).  He also has the stupidity to mention these two in his letter to the DNC.  Not very smart, if you ask me.

And speaking of that honorary doctorate:  this is what his website says about it:

2002 Honorary Doctorate from Theological Seminary, Portland, OR.

I just took a look for this Theological Seminary in Portland and guess what?  There isn’t a seminary with that name.  There are seminaries in Portland, but none titled Theological Seminary.  So does this guy who claims to be a doctor forget where he actually received that honorary degree?  Seems a bit suspicious to me–but then again, I don’t trust a single thing that guy says.  And God hates liars, Mr. Hutcherson, in case you haven’t heard…

A good guess would be that this is the Multnomah Bible College And Biblical Seminary, the same place that published his three ‘books’ (but then again, they don’t give Ph.D.s there, so I could be wrong).

Now I do agree with one thing he has to say:

“We must make sure we stand against all forms of tyranny and call out anyone who supports this agenda.”

Oh yes, Mr. Hutcherson–we must all take a stand against all forms of tyranny, and that includes you and your own tyranny.  You stand up and pretend to be a leader of civil rights, and then you have a fit when someone points out that you really aren’t interested in civil rights.  Poor guy.  Maybe you should try again to get your followers to buy Microsoft stock.  If enough people do it you will make my stock go up.

By the way, it appears that Ken Hutcherson, even though he has an honorary degree, can’t think of something original to say about this.  Peter LaBarbera writes:

Well, folks, the Party of Perversion is at it again. This time the DNC (Democratic National Committee) — as a member of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force’s (NGLTF) “Leadership Council” (Advocate’s Circle) — gave at least $2,500 to the Task Force, whose “Creating Change” conference in Detroit is presenting its “Leather Leadership Award” to Guy Baldwin, an advocate of  “erotic” and “consensual slavery.” How sick is that?

We at Americans For Truth call on the DNC to demand their money back from the NGLTF – or they are complicit with the homosexual Task Force in glorifying this disgusting, sadomasochistic perversion that belittles the forced suffering of African Americans under slavery.

Let’s look a the similarities to what Mr. Hutcherson wrote to the Democratic National Committee and what his good buddy Peter LaBarbera wrote:

LaBarbera:  “Leather Leadership Award” to Guy Baldwin, an advocate of  “erotic” and “consensual slavery.”

Hutch:  so they could award Guy Baldwin, an advocate of sadomasochism and “consensual slavery.”

LaBarbera:  "We at Americans For Truth call on the DNC to demand their money back from the NGLTF"

Hutch: "As an African American leader and Pastor, I insist the DNC demand its money back. "

LaBarbera:  "in glorifying this disgusting, sadomasochistic perversion that belittles the forced suffering of African Americans under slavery."

Hutch:  "and at the same time support a perversion that belittles and makes a mockery of our suffering under slavery?"

So Mr. Hutcherson, do you know what plagiarism is?  You would think that since he has an honorary degree and with all the bellowing he does he could at least write something original…

I wonder if this guy knows what Tyranny is, or if it\’s just one of those "bomb" words the far right likes to use. While I don\’t get the leather stuff, as well as many other fetishes people have, I say, to each their own, I don\’t really care. However If your getting your info from Peter and Rush, you disqualify yourself from actually being well informed.

  2. Rob says:

Yah, and I suppose you go your "Dr" from a "university" or something.  😉

  3. Robert says:

Multnomah Biblical Seminary does not grant Doctorates. The only other real Seminary in Portland with the ability to grant a Doctorate would be Western Seminary http://www.westernseminary.edu.

Also, Multnomah Publishers has not been owned by Multnomah Bible College and Seminary for many years. Multnomah Publishers is actually owned as a subsidiary of Random House Publishing. "Multnomah" is a regional name – not just college/seminary specific.

    Hey,
Thanks for the email.  I figured it wasn\’t Multnomah, but wasn\’t sure.  The main reason I thought that is because DL Foster has published two books with Multnomah Press, but he states that this was in the past.  Anyway, regardless of this, I find it highly suspicious that he does not list the place where he got his honorary degree from in his CV.
