I am really surprised that Sally Kern is surprised that some people are upset with her remarks. She called for a war against gays and lesbians and then expects people to take that lightly? Here again are some of her words that advocate violence against gays and lesbians:
the homosexual agenda is destroying this nation. Okay, it’s just a fact.
If we as, whether you’re a Christian or not, if you’re just a good conservative, if we were as motivated as the gay people were, the contest would be over. That’s just all there is to it. It would be over.
I honestly think it’s the biggest threat even, that our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam which I think is a big threat, okay.
Because what’s happening now, they’re going after, in schools, two year olds.
Now those are the words of Sally Kern. She gave them of her own free will and expressed her thoughts about gays and lesbians. She wasn’t being attacked by gays and lesbians. But that is what she said. And she and others who support her are surprised that people aren’t taking it lying down? Those who advocate violence should not be surprised when some advocate violence back. It is clearly the wrong thing to do and no one should be making threats against this woman, regardless of her calling gays and lesbians worse than terrorists (and in effect calling for a jihad against those worse than terrorists). Kern is just reaping what she sowed. It is unfortunate, but that is what happens when you say things like she said.
Here is a little of what Stacy Harp has to say:
"And if you’re like me and you want to support Sally Kern and let her know that more people support her than hate her and wish her dead, like the homosexual activists do…"
Homosexual activists want her dead? Give me a break. I don’t wish her dead. I think the punishment she has been receiving in the press is punishment enough. 🙂 Maybe Stacy can provide the names of some homosexual activists that have called for her death (and I don’t mean those idiots who leave messages on her phone–those aren’t ‘activists’). I won’t hold my breath. And certainly some in the anti-gay crowd are making a bit of money from all of this–how convenient! Janet Folger is doing double duty–she is hawking one of her books and asking people to send in $33.00! Why would Janet Folger ask for $33 to put an ad in the paper supporting Sally Kern if not to make a bit of money off of this? What a deal for Janet…
p.s. I am surprised that more people are complaining about the words of Sally Kern, especially Muslims since clearly she stated that Islam is also a big threat to this country. How can a religion be a threat to this country? I guess Sally Kern can make a big deal out of Christians having the freedom of religion ("I do not support laws that would force employers to check their First Amendment rights to freedom of religion, speech, and association at the workplace door"–taken from Stacy Harp’s website–I am hoping someone taped that visit between Kerns and PFlag!) but not those of other religions or those who have no religion.
