For at least the last year many anti-gay groups have been stating that what is happening in Europe in terms of glbt rights will happen here.  They claim that glbt people are trampling on religious rights in Europe and that if glbt people are given the same rights here as in Europe, the religious rights of people here in the U.S. will be the same.

Well.  I wonder what these same people will say about what happened in England the other day?  A woman, a so-called Christian woman, was fired from her job when she refused to do civil partnerships for gay couples.  She claimed her religion banned her from doing it.  She was fired, but a tribunal just found that she was discriminated against.  So I guess now all the anti-gay people will stop using Europe as an example?  Probably not.

Anyway, she was discriminated against for not doing the job she was paid to do.  I bet this very same woman refuses to marry Muslims.  Or people a different skin color from her–all because of her religion.  It is funny how one person’s clear discriminatory acts are religious beliefs to others.

I\’ve read several news articles about that case.  My god says she\’s a turd, so it\’s probably best I\’ll never be in a position to provide a public service to her.
